Lunches with Leaders

Lunches with Leaders provides an opportunity for alumni and their guests to learn more about key topics of interest affecting North Carolina from leaders in their respective fields across the state. These lunches are held twice each year in Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh.

In the first quarter of 2017, Doug Dickerson, State Director of AARP was the featured leader.  Doug spoke about the importance of preparing finances for retirement, and how AARP is leading the way by introducing legislation to make it easier to for everyone to make contributions for their retirement through work payroll deductions.

The next series will begin in September 2017, and information regarding the speakers and locations of the luncheons will be available via email and the website. If you have suggestions for a speaker, please send a note to our Executive Director, Ross Harris at rharris@iopl.org.
