Ready to Run Workshop Series Introduces North Carolina Women to What They Need to Know to Get Involved in Public Life
RALEIGH—The North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership (IOPL) is hosting Ready to Run® Greensboro, a non-partisan campaign training for women. Presenters with extensive campaign experience will introduce women to what they need to know to run for office, including choosing your office, building a campaign team, budgeting and practical advice from former and current female elected officials. Ready to Run® Greensboro is the result of a partnership between IOPL and Action Greensboro, the city’s primary economic and community development group.
“Action Greensboro is excited to partner with the Institute of Political Leadership and the Greensboro YWCA to co-host the Women on Board program,” said Action Greensboro Executive Director Cecelia Thompson. “Civic engagement and political servitude are cornerstones of vibrant local communities. They empower individuals to shape the future they desire, transforming passive residents into active architects of positive change.”
