Hometown Debate Series: Education Finances in NC

The North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership (IOPL) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization charged with improving the practice of democracy in our state. Through its annual Hometown Debate Series, IOPL raises awareness of critical issues by bringing newsmakers to communities across the state. This four-event series, a collaboration between Spectrum News 1 North Carolina and IOPL, brings elected officials and policy experts together for a balanced debate on some of North Carolina’s most important issues. The 2023 Debate Series focuses on four topics within education.
The NC Institute of Political Leadership is excited to announce the Hometown Debate Series will return this Fall. Join us on November 1st from 7-8 pm at Barefoot Auditorium at the Benson Civic Center to discuss Education Finance in NC.
Spectrum News 1’s Loretta Boniti will return as moderator for the event. Panelists Scheduled to Appear:

An abbreviated debate version will air on Spectrum News on Sunday, November 5th, at 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. After their initial airing, The debates will be available in their entirety on www.spectrumlocalnews.com.
The Hometown Debate Series is free and open to the public! Doors Open at 6 p.m.
