Women on Board/Appointments Project Webinar
January 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
The North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership is proud to announce our collaboration with the Appointments Project, an award-winning approach that attracts and empowers women to serve in appointed positions on local and state boards and commissions. Hear directly from history maker Hilda Pinnix-Ragland, who has served in several appointed positions as the first African American woman. She currently serves as the Chair on the board of trustees at North Carolina A&T State University, as Vice-Chair of the board of directors of RTI International, and as Co-Chair of Wake Invests in Women. She formerly served as Chair of the North Carolina College System and was nominated by U.S. President Barack Obama to serve on the board of the National Park Foundation.
